Free VFD fault-code diagnostic

Photograph the drive keypad, add the drive model and, if you have it, the fault log or parameter export. InduQT explains the fault and ranks the likely causes for that drive and application.

What it checks

  • Overcurrent and overload trips
  • DC bus over- and undervoltage
  • Ground faults
  • Overtemperature
  • Communication and fieldbus faults

How it works

  1. Identify the machine from the nameplate or a photo of the control.
  2. Read the fault or alarm and look it up in the documentation for that model.
  3. Weigh the evidence you add (trends, logs, history) against each possible cause.
  4. Give you the ranked causes and the next check that separates them, with sources.

Questions

Which drives does it cover?

Low-voltage AC drives from the major manufacturers. Fault numbers differ by brand and model, so always include the model from the nameplate.

Can I upload a parameter file?

Yes. A parameter export or fault log lets InduQT check ramps, limits and motor data against the fault.

What does it cost?

The diagnostic is free.

InduQT gives guidance, not instructions to operate equipment. Work on fuel, pressure and electrical systems must be done by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's procedures and local codes. Never bypass a safety device or interlock.
