Fireye NX6100 F64 Profile Invalid before startup, what to check?

Question

I'm getting an F64 'Profile Invalid' fault on my Fireye NX6100 controller before the burner even attempts to start. This happened after some maintenance work. What should I check first?

The Fireye NX6100 controller displays an F64 'Profile Invalid' fault when the selected fuel/air profile data no longer matches the burner configuration, preventing startup. This is a safety block that can occur after a servo replacement, a drive deselection, or if a profile was uploaded from a PC but not yet verified on the burner. The controller will not fire the selected profile until the issue is resolved.

Likely causes and checks

1Servo replaced

Points to it
If a servo was recently replaced, the controller detects a mismatch between the profile data and the new servo's configuration. The fault subset will often be the profile number plus 100.
Check
A qualified commissioning engineer needs to verify the new servo is mounted correctly and then re-commission the profile, acknowledging every point up to high fire.

2Drive deselected

Points to it
This fault can occur if a drive was deselected after changes to option parameters. The controller detects that a drive previously part of the profile is now missing. The fault subset will indicate a drive number.
Check
Restore the drive selection in the option parameters or re-commission the profile without the deselected drive. If a drive was added or removed, it's recommended to erase the affected profile using option parameter 45.X before re-commissioning.

3Profile uploaded but not verified

Points to it
If the profile settings were restored from ComFire2 or a PC, the controller requires verification on the burner itself before allowing it to fire. The uploaded data is not yet considered valid for operation.
Check
Verify the profile on the burner in Commission Ratio mode, ensuring all points up to and including High Fire are acknowledged using the 'NEXT' or 'ENTER' key.

Next check: To clear the F64 fault, you can try switching to another valid profile, or re-commission the affected profile in Commission Ratio mode, making sure all points up to and including High Fire are acknowledged.

Work on fuel trains, burners, pressure vessels and electrical equipment must be done by qualified personnel following the manufacturer’s documentation and local codes. Never bypass a safety device or interlock.
