Connect a machine

Get the data off your machines. Then let AI read it.

You have tried asking ChatGPT or Claude about your machines. What is missing is the machine’s own data. These guides show how to get it with sensors you can buy off the shelf, check it in Claude, and send it to InduQT.

What do you want to know?

How every guide works

  1. Buy a sensor from the maker or a local distributor: Shelly meters, ESP32 boards, Bluetooth tags, 4–20 mA transmitters. US$15–150 per machine.
  2. Publish over MQTT to a free broker on a Raspberry Pi in the plant (start here).
  3. Check the readings with Claude or ChatGPT: record two minutes to a file and paste the prompt from the guide.
  4. Wire it to InduQT: Claude creates the machine and a key; a small bridge forwards the readings. Free for up to 3 machines.
  5. Get outcomes: InduQT learns each machine’s normal and warns before it fails, with the cause and the next check.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get data from my machine into ChatGPT or Claude?

Fit an off-the-shelf sensor that speaks MQTT (a Shelly meter, an ESP32 board, or a Bluetooth tag through a gateway), run a free MQTT broker on a Raspberry Pi, record a couple of minutes of readings to a file and give the file to Claude or ChatGPT. For continuous data, send the readings to InduQT and use the InduQT connector in Claude to ask about them any time.

Do I need to buy sensors from InduQT?

No. InduQT does not sell sensors. Every guide uses parts you can buy from the maker or a local distributor, usually for US$15–150 per machine.

Can InduQT read Bluetooth sensors?

Through a gateway. Theengs Gateway (free, on the Raspberry Pi) or a Shelly BLU Gateway turns Bluetooth readings into MQTT, and InduQT reads them like any other sensor.

What if the data is already in a PLC or in Excel?

Read the PLC over Modbus TCP with Node-RED, or upload the Excel history. Both have their own guide here.

Is this cheaper than Tractian or Guidewheel?

Usually, for a first few machines: you buy the sensors once and InduQT is priced per machine with unlimited users. Vendor-sensor systems bundle their own hardware and service, which suits some plants better. See the comparisons.
